There are moments in life when…

There are moments in life when you are forced to re-evaluate how you are living your life. When you are forced to look at life in a little different light.

Last night I had one of those moments.

I was coaching at a dual wrestling meet when one of our wrestler’s opponents was blind.

100% blind.

Imagine a normal day without your vision. Just one normal day. I am trying to wrap my head around this at the moment. Now imagine wrestling someone without your vision. I have no words to even try to describe it.

We are not done yet!

Not only are you wrestling blind but you are a good wrestler. This would be no easy task. It is a challenge to be a good wrestler with your vision let alone without.

Humbled. This is the only word I can use to describe how I felt and still feel.

There are moments in life when you are forced to re-evaluate how you are living your life.

How are you living your life?

Are you finding ways to challenge and improve yourself?

Have you let a personal characteristic limit your success?

Take a moment to re-evaluate your life, your attitude and your future. This is something you must do and do often!

Too often we find one little “flaw” to use as an excuse so we don’t have to try.

I am trying to find a way to conclude this article but let’s be honest, there is nothing I can say to match how the astonishing feat of will and determination of watching someone do what others thought not to be possible.
